Weaving colors

Charlotte Culot

October 2024

The Weaving Colors exhibition highlights the power of color to bring energy and vibrancy to New York City.

"Proposing color in a rather monochrome New York and introducing energy through color are my main goals for this exhibition." says Culot.

This collection features immense canvas, smaller formats and tapestries.

On one side, Charlotte Culot constructs her paintings like architectures, in the form of collages, by assembling cut-out pieces of color. These mixed techniques enable her to create true color fields, free, structured, open and total. On the other hand, the handwoven, limited-edition rugs and tapestries by Maison Rhizomes draw inspiration from Culot's original artworks, creating a fascinating interplay between mediums.

These exquisite pieces can be hung on the wall like paintings, positioning them as true works of art.
